Every year hundreds of animals come into Joliet Township Animal Control and it is our goal to find them their forever home. Our Vet Techs meet with each potential adoptee and ensure that is the right match for the new owner as well as their new pet.
ADOPTION PROCESS
- Come meet with an animal and discuss your adoption plans with our Vet Techs. Viewing hours to browse animals begins at 10am Monday – Friday. Viewing for specific animals may start earlier.
- Complete adoption application and ensure the best match
- After adoption is approved, you will complete adoption contract and your new pet is able to leave with you (please bring a carrier if adopting a cat)
- JTAC accepts cash (exact amount) or credit with an additional $5 service charge.
DOGS
- Puppies $280, Dogs $200
- Includes spay/neuter, rabies shot (if old enough), registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, distemper combo shot, bordetella and heartworm test for adults
CATS
- Kittens $120, Cats $80, Senior Cats $30
- Includes spay/neuter, rabies shot (if old enough), registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, distemper combo shot, and FIV/FELV testing
